The market, bedroom move & termites

Its location got moved so we went to the old location first then had to back track.  It is actually located at the top of the steep hill I showed you. So we walked down the hill, back up the other side and found out we had to walk back LOL that was our exercise for the day! By the time we arrived at 10:15AM it was pretty much cleared out. We managed to get some bread and a few vegetables then went to the grocery store for milk and eggs.

We hung around Santa Elena for the morning, shopping, having coffee; Doug did some skateboarding, then headed home for a pretty uneventful afternoon. We watched movies and planned our upcoming visit to La Fortuna.

Alajuela: Arenal / Fortuna

Two nights ago Douglas and I decided to move our bedroom over to the cement building. It still smells like a combination of paint and whatever it is the paint is covering up but I mopped the floor and tried to air it out. It is reasonably airtight so no my mind can be comforted in knowing no big rodents are getting in. Last night I left the window open until we went to bed hoping that would help but when we got over to the bedroom the floor was covered in bugs.
These are them after I swept them outside

There is some kind of little bug that is attracted to light. It doesn’t bite and it dies in less than 12 hours because they are always dead by morning. I thought without the light on we would be OK; I won’t make that assumption again. Anyway, the room is comfortable, no scorpions and it are much warmer without the draft at night. The only problem is that it is even further away from the washroom!
The old bedroom...

The new bedroom

The main house and the second building are both made of wood. Termites are slowly eating them. There are holes in every wood surface.
