Es viernes YEAH!!
Douglas y yo estamos felices de terminar la escuela.
After making a few calls to our friendly but oh so stupid
CRA and getting nowhere I left to join Douglas at his school. He was watching a
Spanish movie with English subtitiles haha. We were served ice cream with
sprinkles on top of a thin pancake, followed by a chocolate covered frozen
banana. Douglas was given money again so I tracked down the lady who gave it to
him and asked why?? It turns out that the older kids have been helping out in
the younger kids classrooms in the afternoon and they get paid $30 per week for
doing this. They didn’t give Doug his money last week so he just got it
yesterday. Things have been very confusing down here… at school we never seem
to completely understand what is going on. Shortly after that Doug found out
that all of his group was up in the kitchen making deserts and celebrating the
end of their week. Doug had no idea and missed the entire celebration. I went
in search of his instructor to ask why because he also did not receive his
certificate. She said she thought Douglas was happier down watching the movie.
But did anyone tell him that the older kids were making deserts and that there
was another option?? Then while we
were sorting this out and getting his certificate everyone else was getting
more ice cream and treats down in the other classroom!! Doug was so pissed but
that did not stop him from going and getting some LOL.
Despues escuella, fuimos a Santa Elena para visitar Miguel y
obtener alguna informacion sobre donde viajar siguiente. Nos detuvimos para un café con leche y
compartimos un sandwich y luego se fue a la casa.
We were supposed to meet Miguel after work at 9PM so after some
homework and a movie we headed back out. I realized that this was the first
time we have been out after dark since we arrived. That’s pretty pathetic
considering it gets dark at 6PM LOL
Doug said I was wrong that we were in town once and of course we were in
Puntarenes for the weekend.
