September 9th was el Dia del Ninos - Children's Day in Costa Rica. We celebrated by going to a celebration at Finca Life Monteverde. Finca = Farm.
This farm grows its own coffee, sugar cane, beans and vegys. They are working at being a self sustaining organization cooperative organization.

Invernadero = Greenhouse
They create methane gas from pigs poop! They use this gas to heat water in the kitchen.

These are the coffee plants (above). They used the land to create a fun slide for the kids for the day and Doug was not too shy to be one of the first to try it out:
