After getting used to a few zip lines how hard could a Tarzan Jump be? ARE YOU CRAZY!! Doug jumped first, I started, chickened out but then eventually made the jump.

Monkeys

Monkeys are a part of life in Costa Rica but this does not happen every day. In fact this is only the third time in four months we have seen them in our back yard (coincidently always when I am doing laundry) and this was the first time they came this close. Apparently the white faced monkey will make it's way through an area about once a month. They have their routine, know where they can find food and then move on. Today they received an added treat when Douglas started hand feeding them bananas!

How many do you think he can hold? One in his mouth, two in one hand, one hand left to climb with.

JUMP!!

Monteverde Reserve

Miguel and I hiked up to and through the Monteverde Reserve.

Pasamos un día divertido caminar por los senderos.

Elevation 1595 meters! It goes up to 1,680 and at the top there is a look out point where on a clear day you can see both the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Ocean. The continental divide. Of course Miguel has been here most of his life and has only seen this once thanks to the clouds.

 Nosotros nos disfrutamos todos las flores, arboles y la naturaleza.

 Then we stopped at the hummingbird garden.

The following day I hiked through the Reserve with some of the other parents and we were fortunate enough to see a family of spider monkeys. Of course then I didn't have my camera... Oh well. Every day is amazing.
